Matt is happy when he does things he loves with people he loves.

Chris

Chris is happy on mornings when he has just gotten his coffee, it is a little crisp outside, nothing has started yet, he has nothing important to do, and he can walk for about 20 minutes or so without anyone bothering him.

Good cinematography, cool t-shirts, and awesome sneakers make Serena happy. I interviewed her after she had been filming an project I was involved with while wearing awesome sneakers and a cool shirt. We also exchanged websites. I must admit, I feel pretty nifty being able to tell people I have a website.

Real Asian food makes Jinyan happy. But also, any food that is nutritious, looks good, and tastes good makes her happy, especially when she has ample time to eat.

Being around and talking to people, collaborating, thinking, creativity, colors, ice cream, panda bears, being outdoors, helping people, and the knowledge that she is doing something good for the world make Andrea happy.

A good loaf of bread makes Michael happy. It's very basic- but a basic of life. He moved to Syracuse about a year ago, and the bread from the local bakeries and the Farmer's Market is very good- and he is happy.

Lying on bed on a Sunday morning with nothing to do, the New York Times, and an iced latte make Chris happy. 

Jim

Jim is happy when he rides his motorcycle or plays with his dog. He has a ZZR120 Kawasaki Sport (that's the motorcycle, not the dog).

Purring makes Denise happy. Specifically that of her ginger kitty, who she found on the street.

Happiness blog

This is the Happiness Project. I ask total strangers a simple question: "What makes you happy?"
I take their picture, and post it here with their "happiness-maker."
Then I give them a card like this:

On the back I write what makes them happy. They can keep the card in their wallet, and look at it to remind them to be happy. They can also come to this blog, and see what makes other people happy, thus producing more happiness.
I aim to make this question as open-ended as possible. Happiness is a very vague term- but so many things can make someone happy. What makes you happy? Please comment!
